Kenneth M. Van Stralen, DDS
Dr. Van Stralen was born in Wisconsin. After receiving a BS in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, he earned his DDS from Marquette University in 1984. That same year, he set up his first practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 1996, he relocated to the Washington area and opened his current practice in Alexandria, where he focuses on complex restorative and esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Van Stralen has extensive training in dental implantology, complex restorative dental rehabilitations, conservative treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, aesthetic dentistry and oral surgery. He keeps abreast of the latest developments in dental procedures and technology so he can offer the least invasive, most sophisticated resolution to even complex dental problems.
Dr. Van Stralen is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. He lives in Georgetown with his wife, and his two sons.
Giovanna Omonte, Office Manager
Giovanna Omonte has been Dr. Van Stralen's office manager for almost eight years. She is continually updating her knowledge in procedures, insurance claims among other office technologies in order to facilitate the entire process for the patient. When she's not working, Giovanna stays busy keeping up with her husband and two young sons.
Katherine Rosales, Dental Assistant
Katherine Rosales completed her training as a dentist in Peru. She has been a dental assistant for four years and has worked with Dr. Van Stralen for almost two years. She loves the challenges her job presents and enjoys working with the talented team. When she is not working, you might find Katherine Flamenco dancing or exercising. Katherine is engaged to be married, and she would love to tell you about her pet, Keanu!
Paola Omonte, Registered Dental Hygienist
Paola Omonte studied biology in Bolivia. She is proud to have been part of Dr. Van Stralen's staff for eight years. She loves working with patients, learning about new technology, and the practice's commitment to quality care. Paola is Dr. Van Stralen's Registered Dental Hygienist. Outside of work, she counts traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors among her many hobbies.
